For Nederlands Fotomuseum in Rotterdam studio johan nijhoff designed, in collaboration with architect Jos Blom and designer Theun Mosk, the exhibition Hunting with a Camera on the earliest Dutch nature photography.
The design focusses on separating the aesthetically appealing work from the work that supports the exhibition’s content. This results in a floor plan whereby the areas that focus on aesthetics surround a central space. In this white space visitors will find information supporting the topics and graphic way finding of the rest of the exhibition.
The walls have been painted partly with a high-gloss finish creating a horizontal line running throughout the exhibition from beginning to end.
